Shots taken/mise-en-scene -MAGAZINE

This is a mid shot taken in front of a white backdrop. We chose to use the white backdrop as it meant that there was a lot of space above which we planned to use for our masthead. The model in this picture is wearing the same jumper that she wore in our trailer and therefore a direct link is made between the products. The model is holding a phone as our narrative includes social media and therefore we felt that having our model holding a phone fitted really well

This image is a medium close up. Once again the mise-en-scene consists of a white back drop and the model is wearing the same jumper. We chose to use slightly different lighting for this picture. In order to create this lighting effect we shined a torch above the model in order to put her in the spotlight. The models angle of gaze is towards the camera and therefore the picture is more eye catching when looking at it.

The final image that we chose to use for our magazine cover is a medium. Once again the mise-en-scene consists of a white backdrop and the model is wearing the same hoodie. In this image the white backdrop looks like it is blue, In order to create this effect we turned all of the lights off and covered the torch with red filter paper. Doing this created a pink tint on the models face and made the backdrop look darker. In this image the model is looking directly at the camera. We chose to use a medium close up as we decided we would zoom it in a bit in order to create the illusion that the image is a close up as many magazine covers that we looked at used close ups for their main image.
